| Information for including your dog's DNA test results on the KC Database |

Dogs tested by the Animal Health Trust for PLL These results will be forwarded (usually the following month after testing) to the Kennel Club for inclusion in their databases. Dogs which have given blood prior to the DNA test coming out, their results will not be included in the KC Database as they are classed as research results, owners wishing to make their dog's results available to the KC should send their copies of the email from the Animal Health Trust informing the KC of the results to The same applies to owners who were given research swabs back in September 2009, prior to the test. |

Kennel Club Databases There are two types of Databases one in which you can type the dog's full KC pedigree name. This shows the full history of the dog's tests. This is http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/services/public/health/search/Default.aspx The other Database is a current list of results, clears, carriers & affecteds. It is in PDF format and is updated at the beginning of every month. To access this go to http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk then in the search bar at the top right hand side of the page insert "Lancashire Heelers PLL". this takes you to the page where you can download the three categories, clears, carriers or affecteds. |
